Having played pro football in the AFL I went through many trials and tribulations.  As all athletes know, we go through heavy physical and mental pain and stress.  Being the nature and level we have to compete can bring a very complex lifestyle that only few people understand.  One of the trials and struggles that I went through was a dependency upon pain medication. 

My addiction was both embarrassing and hard to admit.  I finally reached the decision to seek help for my problem and enrolled myself in a treatment program.  I was fortunate to have found a counselor that was also an athlete and had experienced some of the same addictions, trials, and tribulations as mine.  When I first met with Chuck I felt very comfortable and knew my confidentiality would be protected.  It was a relief to finally talk with someone that thoroughly understood what I was going through in my life.  I had an incredible sense of relief as I was able to work through my chemical dependency issues and emotional stress.

Chuck has shown me a new and better way of living.  The counseling I received from him guided me to a very fulfilling life in sobriety.  I would strongly recommend any athlete that struggles with similar challenges to setup a private consultation with Chuck.
